Hello, my name is Carrie Madden and I am a Systems Change Advocate. I was born and raised in Glendale, CA. I use a wheelchair because I was born with Congenital Muscular Dystrophy. I have two other siblings with the same disability. I am a graduate from CSUN with a B.A. in Pan African Studies. As a person with a disability I wanted to study the Civil Rights Movement and how it relates to people with disabilities. For 12 years I worked in healthcare insurance and after that I started my journey in disability advocacy. Today, I am proud to work side by side with Cynde Soto as a Systems Change Advocate. We work together to make our community accessible.
