Cynde and I would like to start off this issue thanking everyone for their hard work in advocacy. Many of you have been putting in a lot of effort on working IHSS and the Dodger Express. We are still waiting for the Federal Government to approve more money for Home and Community Based Services. If you want to continue to reach out to our federal representatives, that would be helpful. We especially want to thank Engracia who went all the way to Washington D.C. to speak on behalf of IHSS recipients. In the process her wheelchair was greatly damaged by the airline! Hopefully, her chair will be fixed soon. Maybe this is another issue we can work on: getting the airlines to take care of our equipment better. There is so much work to do and so little time!
