Administrative Assistant/Grants Support Assistant

Marivic Deocampo, CALIF’s Administrative and Grants Support Assistant first joined CALIF as a volunteer in late 2002 for almost 8 months.  As a volunteer, she worked with the Board of Directors, has been an active participant on outreach work, provided assistance to CALIF staff and consumers from troubleshooting computers, printers and other office equipment to assisting on report preparations and providing reasonable accommodation services. In mid 2003, she became CALIF’s Information & Referral Specialist until mid-2004 and became the Administrative Assistant in mid-2005 when the position was made available.

Her professional experience in working with non-profits started with Save the Children, Philippines Field Office where she was part of the Sponsorship team for almost four and a half years.  Having earned her Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Philippines, her academic and professional training and rich working experience since her college days has provided her the opportunity to define the work environment that suits best her personality and passion as well as the goals that she had envisioned to achieve.

At present, with CALIF, she assists the Executive Director with grants preparation and submission, fulfills the administrative duties for CALIF and provides assistance to CALIF staff and programs as needed, while taking pride and finding enjoyment on sharing the same worthwhile experiences, knowledge and skills towards the fulfillment of goals and improving the lives of those in the disability community.
